When your dad funds the Swift Academy of Science and Technology, you’re bound to have a bunch of tech at your disposal. So no one bats an eye when Tom and his best friend, Noah, test their new virtual reality drone before class. Il y a deux cents ans, dans une forêt du sud de la France, une femme découvre une bête bizarre qui grogne et se cache. Des chasseurs parviennent à le débusquer et à le capturer. Stupeur : c'est un enfant ! Un enfant abandonné qui a grandi seul dans les bois et est devenu un petit animal sauvage. Averti par les journaux, un jeune médecin adopte l'enfant et tente de l'éduquer. Victor, l'enfant sauvage, qui n'articule que quelques sons, commence par essayer d'apprendre ce qu'est le langage.

A la salida del colegio Víctor y sus amigos Patricia, Lucas y Matías admiran el escaparate de la nueva tienda del barrio. Admirar es la palabra correcta, porque saben que lo único que pueden hacer es mirar desde afuera del cristal, con impotencia y frustración. No pueden comprarse nada pese a que cada uno de ellos jura que en su casa "realmente lo han intentado todo".

Víctor sabe que cada uno de los miembros de su familia tienen problemas: su padre porque quiere perder de vista al pelota de la Caja de Ahorros que lleva tiempo fastidiándole la vida, su madre quiere una plaza en la guardería para su hermanita pequeña pero no la consigue, su hermano Quique necesita aprobar el examen de mates del lunes y su hermana Georgina está colgada por un tal Floro que pasa de ella.

Parece que nadie tiene nunca en cuenta todo lo que hace Víctor por ayudar a su familia. Como ahora, su hermano mayor Quique echándole la culpa de "haber destrozado su vida". ¿Pero por qué, si esta vez no ha hecho nada? ¿Habrá sido por haberle llamado gorda bigotuda a la que llamó anoche preguntando por él? Si ni siquiera le puede haber dado tiempo a enterarse... ¿O será por lo de la calculadora de bolsillo? Vaya misterio...

La culpa fue, como siempre, de la mala suerte. Víctor llevaba tantos días ilusionado esperando cobrar su primera paga semanal en mucho, mucho tiempo, tanto que ni se acordaba de la última vez que lo había hecho. Y esta vez había estado tan cerca... Pero no pasa nada, a Víctor siempre se le ocurren soluciones a todos los problemas, así que, inspirado en el mendigo que ve pidiendo en la esquina, les propone a sus amigos hacer unos ingeniosos carteles de "güerfana" "pobre siego", "mudo", con los que seguro conseguirán la caridad del prójimo.

Este año Víctor tenía pensado hacer una lista de regalos para su cumpleaños para esquivar los típicos calcetines, calzoncillos y demás prendas de ropa necesaria y muy aburrida que los mayores se empeñan en regalarle año tras año y por fin recibir un par de regalos chulos.

¿Cómo puede ser que sus hermanos no le entiendan cuando Víctor les dice que para Navidad de este año lo que quiere es una cadena? Sí, Víctor lo ha dicho muy claro: quiero una cadena, con compact, radio y altavoces. ¡Lo más desconcertante de todo es que sus padres le han dicho que sí! Ah, pero con una condición: tendrá que aprobar todas en la primera evaluación. No hace falta que sean notas altas, con suficientes les vale. ¡Vaya lío en el que se ha metido ahora!

Víctor no recordaba haber tenido una semana mejor en mucho tiempo, puede que incluso en toda su vida: no tenía que ir al colegio por culpa de la gripe y además estaba siendo cuidado, mimado, no le prohibían ver la tele y tenía suministro de tebeos y cómics...

"¡Noticias frescas! Escándalos, fraudes, injusticias... Todo lo encontrará en el Eco del Barrio, un periódico cargado de noticias, emociones y denuncias", gritan Víctor y sus amigos Lucas, Matías y Patricia para anunciar el primer ejemplar de su nuevo periódico.

Luego de leer un libro escrito por el molón Jordi Sierra i Fabra acerca del rock y de ver el concierto de Bruce Springsteen que echan esa noche por la tele, Víctor se va a la cama soñando con ser el líder de una banda de rock. Algo podrán conseguir con la guitarra (de dos cuerdas) de Víctor y la batería improvisada de sus amigos. Lo que les pillará por sorpresa a estos amigos es la aventura que vivirán cuando un señor un poco "despistado" confunde a Víctor con John Lennon...

Every year, Swift Academy students go to a nearby summer camp to field-test their inventions. Tom and his friends have been working hard on all their projects, but they’re most thrilled about Noah’s new virtual reality simulation. They can’t wait for it to go live, and everyone is looking forward to running tests at the camp. Nothing dulls their excitement, not even when a mysterious prankster starts messing with people’s inventions.

With his new shadow in tow, Tom expects the night to be uneventful. But when the facility suddenly goes into quarantine mode, the overnight lock-in turns into a building-wide lockdown. Tom and his friends are left trapped in their respective rooms, with no way to communicate the outside world. As they make their way through the facility using methods that are a little more...creative...than normal, Tom and his friends start realizing that there is more to this quarantine than meets the eye. It’s up to them to not only escape, but also find out what - or who - is behind the lockdown.

Tom gets to take all sorts of cool classes at the Swift Academy of Science and Technology, but robotics may be the one he is most excited for. Their teacher is holding a battling robot tournament, and Tom has to build a machine that will come out on top. With the final battle coming up, Tom and his friends need as much time as possible to refine their masterpiece. But the rest of their teachers have been giving so many pop quizzes that they can barely focus in class, never mind concentrate on the tournament.

It's another day at the Swift Academy when Tom starts finding little troll-like figures around campus. And he's not the only one. Much to the amusement and curiosity of students, these dolls are appearing all over the school. But even after they're collected by faculty, a second wave mysteriously appears - except these replacements record audio and play it back for surrounding listeners. Before everyone knows it, secrets and gossip are revealed across campus, and suddenly the figures aren't nearly as fun as they used to be.
