The Aldens have promised Grandfather a vacation from mysteries during their island visit. But the promise proves hard to keep when things start to go missing. Then an old fisherman tells Benny of the island’s ghost horse, and late that very night Benny sees a mysterious stallion galloping down the beach. Could the ghost horse have something to do with the disappearances?

Tom's eyes bored into Basil's. "I admire and respect you as a brilliant detective, but I must speak frankly. Your chances of capturing J. J. are practically zero. The obstacles are too many and too great. In my opinion, Basil, you're on an impossible mission!"

Our fluffy, fearless young detectives are back out sleuthing, because there's a new cage in the yard, and the Chicken Squad is determined to figure out just who this new addition is. Because whatever it is, it's definitely up to no good. So, equipped with the latest surveillance gear - which apparently includes copious amounts of marshmallows - the chicks venture into the wild to get answers. Let's just hope they can beat that giant rain cloud that's closing in - because everyone knows that chickens can't swim!
