Then and now is a history podcast where we explore stories from history that have happened then and are happening now.

A podcast unveiling the history of Kawartha Lakes’ Flato Academy Theatre, a 125-year-old building of stories and mysteries, as well as what misadventures are happening right now. The first season is set to have ten episodes, one a month, and will feature new guest stars every episode. Hosted by Lindsay, Ontario’s Randy Read.

In 2006, the podcast started with students in my introductory global history and culture course at the Univ of Minn. Previous episodes reviewed history topics, special music episodes connecting a country's culture with its music, interviews with voices of students and community members as they were part of historical events, and other topics.
