What can they actually do, and when do they fail? How humanlike do we expect them to become, and how soon do we need to worry about them surpassing us? Shifted Thinking is a show about one simple, surprisingly comforting truth: even the things we’re certain we believe can change. Each episode, I sit down with friends - and the occasional friend-of-a-friend - to chat about the biggest shift in perspective they’ve ever had.We talk about the belief they once held, what nudged them to rethink it, and how life looks now because of it. Sometimes it’s a small moment that spiralled into a big realisation; other times it’s a life event that turned everything on its head. You’ll hear honest, thoughtful conversations about identity, purpose, ...

Every one of our thoughts, actions, moods and decisions is shaped by a whole array of factors, most of which we don't pay any attention to. From culture, time and language to genetics, technology and the microorganisms living inside us—even our own unconscious routines and habits—it's clear that we aren't always in the driving seat. The good news is that by better understanding the external and internal forces at work, we can minimise their impact on our lives.

AI is at the forefront of everyone's minds: from students and artists, to CEO's and service workers. But what exactly is AI, and how does it influence our everyday lives? And more than that, what does it mean for our future? Is there a way for us to retain our "humanness" in a world ever-reliant on tech? This groundbreaking book argues that the key technology we use to make strategic, political, and ethical decisions is flawed.

THINKing LOUDly 🧐

Story0
Most of my thinking space is taken up by the question, "Why are we the way we are?" and one more, "How can we become better?". I have found several answers in the Hindu Scriptures ( I and Mr. Albert Einstein ) and some in modern take on human psychology. So this podcast is simply a product of my reflection on what I am studying. I honestly don't intend to lecture people. In the end I might be sharing some of the great thoughts given by great people but in a very jolly way ( which I will try my best).
