Story0
Four years ago, I heard something on the radio that sparked an idea for a story. Three years and three scripts later, I was eager to hear how all that sounded in action. As a first-time playwright/screenwriter, though, I was pretty sure that finding a willing production company would be, well, tough. So, I decided to produce these works on my own. As audio dramas. The collection of recordings that follows was made possible by a remarkably versatile group of fourth-year drama students at the University of Hartford’s Hartt School for the performing arts.

http://www.adfreebooks.com - 500+ audiobooks, all ad freeThe wife of a plantation manager in "British Malaysia" shoots a man of their acquaintance while her husband is away from home. She claims that the man she shot had attempted to rape her. Her lawyer supposes that her defense will be rather straightforward until his law clerk informs him that a blackmailer possesses evidence that will incriminate her. The defendant and her lawyer must determine whether it is best to 'explain away' the potentially damning implications of the titular letter or pay the sum demanded for its suppression.

Story0
Florence Scovel Shinn, an illustrator living in New York City, became a teacher of New Thought after a divorce. New Thought was a movement which holds the belief that individuals can create their own reality through intentional thoughts and prayer, much like the current Law of Attraction movement. The Game of Life and How to Play It is her first book, and is remarkable for being written by a woman and meant for a genteel female audience. (Summary from Wikipedia)
