When Aunt Trudy wins a competition to intern with celebrity chef Colton Spark, she invites Frank and Joe to join her on her trip to the remote Rubble Island off the coast of Maine, where she’ll be helping Colton cook for the prestigious Golden Claw Awards. They’ll be staying at the island’s beautiful Seaspray Inn where the event is being hosted. Still, even before the Hardys reach the island, it becomes clear that the locals are not big fans of Colton.

The Aldens spend the summer on their own private island. There they meet a new friend with an amazing secret!

The Aldens are going on a trip to the Arizona desert. There they learn about the legend of the Lost Dutchman Mine. Everyone thinks the mine is filled with gold. Can the Boxcar Children find out if the legend is true - and if it is, who will find the gold?

When the Aldens hear that Mr. Wood's cat Spotzie is missing, they immediately help out by putting up "LOST CAT" posters and going door-to-door with a photograph of the cat. But along the way, they meet some strange characters, receive frightening phone calls, and even find a cat that looks just like Spotzie - but is it? It seems that the more they search, the more mysterious the mystery becomes!

The lodge is having its annual winter carnival, and the Boxcar Children sign up to compete in events like skiing, skating, sledding, and building snow and ice sculptures. But no sooner has the competition begun than the children have a mystery to solve!
