A statue; a coin; an old book. They look as dusty as everything else in the Faulkner Antiquarian Bookstore. But when Sam Saulkner slips the coin into the statue, he's swept back to Scotland in 900 A.D. - the age of the Vikings!--where he must find both the statue and another coin in order to escape. The zoo is wonderful—it has seals and giraffes and elephants and tigers, and Benny's favorite, a little monkey named Amos. It also has a mystery. While on the beach at a seaside resort, Benny finds a bottle with a tattered piece of paper inside. When the Aldens find out that it’s part of a map that leads to a pirate’s riches, they prepare to search for the buried gold. But the Aldens aren’t the only ones looking for the hidden fortune. Will they be the first to solve the mystery of the pirate’s map? Aye, mateys, this might be the Boxcar Children’s biggest adventure yet.

Mr. Lakin made his way over to Don Sterling. "It's bad enough we have to suffer through your performances onstage. Now come on, we're going to be late for our own party. The whole world doesn't stop for you, you know." Mr. Lakin gave the Don's boot a kick. The Don didn't move. Joe and I exchanged glances. Something was definitely not right. Joe knelt down and put his fingers on Don Sterling's neck like we'd been taught in our first aid course.

The Alden children are searching for a rare comic book about their favorite superhero, Captain Fantastic. When they finally find the comic, they discover that Captain Fantastic has a real-life enemy. Who would want to sabotage a superhero? The Aldens will need their super power of investigation to catch this comic book culprit!

The Aldens are helping a local carpenter build a giant yo-yo that could break a world record! But when plans are stolen, it’s clear someone doesn’t want this yo-yo to be built. Can the Boxcar Children save the day?
