There was no reason for Crown Princess Anastasia of Rockfall to worry about her future, not when she was the only heir to a small yet important kingdom within the Allied Lands. There was no reason, either, for her to learn magic, or the growing arts of science and magitech, or indeed anything else… until she was kidnapped by a sorceress who stole her face, cursed her so she could never reveal her real name and dumped her on the far side of the Allied Lands, all the while intending to impersonate Anastasia long enough to murder her parents, be crowned Queen and instigate a reign of terror.

Certains collectionnent des timbres, d'autres, comme moi, les emmerdes. Primo, j'ai découvert il y a peu que je ne suis pas humaine. Secundo, mes parents biologiques sont respectivement une salope manipulatrice et un connard psychorigide, malade du contrôle. Tertio, ce dernier a lancé des mercenaires loups-garous à mes trousses, dans l'espoir de me voir accomplir une prophétie où je tiens le premier rôle et, malheureusement, la faction maternelle caresse très exactement le même projet à son profit naturellement.

Je suis flic, et à part une petite bizarrerie et un sérieux manque de sex-appeal dont je me passerais bien, ma vie est plutôt sympa. Mais un soir tout vole en éclat. Traquée par des types bizarres, je me retrouve baby-sittée par mon nouveau boss, un type beau à tomber aux instincts meurtriers peu rassurants, qui semble éprouver à mon égard une allergie aussi violente qu’inexplicable. Alors, telle Alice, je plonge dans le terrier du lapin blanc ; sauf que, dans mon cas, la curiosité n’y est pour rien : mon imbuvable garde du corps m’y a poussée.

Je crois que si un concours de Miss " Poissarde " existait, j'en serais sacrée reine. Ce voyage au Cénacle aurait dû être simple : rejoindre mon amant volage, lui demander comment me débarrasser de son petit cadeau d'adieu et le laisser filer le parfait amour avec sa morue. Mais les complications me sont bien plus fidèles que ma dernière conquête. Contrainte de me lancer dans la quête périlleuse d'une relique légendaire pour sauver l'un de mes compagnons, je n'imaginais pas que nos vies entières s'en trouveraient totalement bouleversées.
