Personne ne veut croire à une tentative de meurtre tant Barbara, une figure emblématique de Lake Eden depuis toujours, est aimée de tous. Lorsqu'elle reprend conscience un court instant, elle prétend que c'est son frère qui l'a poussée. Seul problème : Barbara n'a pas et n'a jamais eu de frère.
