O Programa O POVO Educação surgiu há 22 anos como contribuição à provocação da ANJ – Associação Nacional dos Jornais. A instituição, da qual O POVO é um dos fundadores, convocou os principais jornais do país para desenvolver ações que facilitassem a utilização do conteúdo jornalístico no ambiente escolar. Hoje, o programa possui 200 correspondentes, escolares (alunos) e mestres (professores) da rede pública e privada de ensino.
