An odd group gathers for an English country house weekend party: a sickly host, a disgraced socialite, an amateur detective and her nephew, a murderous couple, an ex-army captain, and a former militant suffragist countess. In England’s silent-film industry, Randolph Fflytte is king. Though peace and quiet are all well and good, Betty soon finds herself longing for some cold-blooded murder.
