In his books The Soul-Winner's Secret, The Way of Holiness, and Helps to Holiness, the author defines holiness as pure love which makes one hate uncleanness, lying and deceit, a flattering tongue and every evil way; that makes heaven and hell eternal realities; and that makes one patient and gentle.
