What does it really look like to lead yourself—while you're still figuring it out? Works in Progress is a short-form interview series from Leadify, hosted by Lucy Dannewitz. Each episode features a raw, real conversation with an emerging leader who’s navigating the messy, meaningful in-betweens of growth. No highlight reels. No corporate gloss. Just self-leadership, identity, and courage—told in real time.

I thought long and hard about what I really wanted to talk about. Not what interested me, not even what I was good at, but what did I want to say. I was wrestling with myself, like I always do. Bouncing between all these ideas, and hobbies, and topics and facets of my life and who I am or who I wish I was. And right there in the middle I found it, What I wanted to talk about. I wanted to talk about being stuck. And so naturally, I made a podcast! Here is where we come together to talk about the things we have no words for. Welcome to Work in Progress.

Well, it's not really a business podcast, and it's not quite a social podcast—we'll be honest, we're not 100% sure what it is. But we promise it'll be a good time! Work in Progress is a monthly podcast featuring extraordinary people and their journeys—the good, the bad, and all its unexpected twists and turns.

Software Engineering is a confusing trade. You code all day and speak the language of 1's and 0's to the machines that power our modern world. ...At least that's what you were told. In reality, engineering is a people practice and with that comes all the joys and frustrations of interacting with real people. Join two experienced software engineers as they share all the ups and downs that come with coding for a living. At the end of the day software often resembles the authors that write them, they're works in progress.

Story0
Work In Progress is a podcast interviewing guests who successfully changed careers. We talk about the struggles and lessons they learned along the way. We believe that life is a never-ending journey where one needs to constantly reinvent themselves and the same goes for careers. Based on this belief, we started our blog, in which we write about transitions in career and life and this led to the birth of our podcast in 2019. New episodes are published every other Wednesday!
