Agile Indian - An Indian Perspective on Living and Working in a Global World

Agile Indian is not a space to talk about Scrum, sprints, or ceremonies. It is a space to explore how Indians think, work, change, struggle, and grow, especially when we operate in global environments. Work will naturally be part of these conversations because it shapes a large part of our lives, but this is not limited to productivity or professional success. We will also talk about identity, pressure, belonging, silence, ambition, and meaning. Agility here is a mindset, not a methodology. Jai Hind !

Meet your hosts, Al & Leanne Elliott, a husband and wife team who’ve been travelling full time since 2017. After visiting 43 different countries and 159 towns and cities, it’s safe to say they’ve heard plenty of juicy stories of people who live life on their terms (we call it ’Living sideways’). QUICK NOTE: This podcast was formerly called ’Thravellers’ but the pandemic taught us that travel is not the only way to live life differently - hence the name change! So join us for weekly episodes where we interview interesting people who are living and working abroad. Join us, and live...

Story0
High in the mountainous rain forests of Burma and India grow some of the world's last stands of mature, wild teak. For more than a thousand years, people here have worked with elephants to log these otherwise impassable forests and move people and goods (often illicitly) under cover of the forest canopy. In Giants of the Monsoon Forest, geographer Jacob Shell takes us deep into this strange elephant country to explore the lives of these extraordinarily intelligent creatures.

Story0
I started some research in Summer 2019 on NASA's Skylab 4 mission - infamous for being (allegedly, though wrongly) the first and only strike in space. So here's a work-in-progress podcast mini-series that traces my progress with the research as it's playing out. Anyone who's interested in things like Science & Technology Studies, ethnomethodology and conversation analysis, and work-related disputes about workload/dataification/etc, have a listen and let me know what you think (I'm on Twitter at @pdbrooker and Mastodon @pdbrooker@mastodon.online), thanks!
