Dr. Tim Groseclose, a professor of political science and economics at UCLA, has spent years constructing precise quantitative measures of the slant of media outlets. He does this by measuring the political content of news, as a way to measure the PQ, or political quotient, of voters and politicians.

The beginning of the 2021-2022 school year saw teacher shortages in almost every state in the United States of America. Teachers all around are expressing their concerns that go largely undiscussed or even ignored. The writing on the board will take educator concerns and speak them into existence so that we can start to have conversations about what it looks like to be a teacher now and how we can change the profession to bring our beloved teachers back into the classroom!
