At 14-years-old, Karen Oliver’s son Ben was diagnosed with Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare genetic disorder affecting coordination and mobility and causes the development of cardiomyopathy and associated arrythmias. She was told he would be wheelchair bound by seventeen and live no longer than 34. But Ben was not going to let that stop him.

On an island off the coast of Massachusetts, six miles across the cobalt blue Waters of the Nantucket Sound, there is a place where hope flourishes. The island is Martha’s Vineyard. The place is Camp Jabberwocky, a sleepover summer camp for people with a variety of disabilities.
