Lou is excited because Susan is moving upstairs from him. They do a board/bored routine. Abbott maintains that Costello is stupid. They discuss the revised script for their new movie with Lauren Bacall.

Lou is waving at his new girl. Bud says she is ugly. Lou went to a game show, and now Lou tries to hypnotize Bud's nephew. Veola is revealed as Abbott and Costello's new secretary.

Costello wants to become a dramatic actor from Brazil...another Carmen Veranda! Bob Matthews (an ex-aerial gunner) sings for the first time on the show (and sounds like an off-key Mel Torme).

Bud's going on a vacation to New Jersey without Lou. Lou is going to Honolulu.

Bud and Lou discuss the string of women Lou has dated, from the one who worked as a bubble girl to his current paramour, who works at a laundromat. A Fenchman interrupts the guys and presents Lou with a medal for not making the people of France have to hear his show, as it's not broadcast internationally.

Abbott and Costello talk about Lou's family. They have been making a living on the radio for the last 10 years. Bud says Lou should invest his money. Lou tries to get a data with Veola.

Bud needs $10,000 for Christmas. Veloa Vonn won't go out with Lou. The boys go to a department store to do Christmas shopping for the cast.

Abbott and Costello talk about Uncle Tom in Egypt. Then they talk about Costello's brother Pat. They talk about President Truman. Lou wants a date with Veola Vonn. Veola wants a date with Burt Lancaster. Hal Winters sings.

Abbott and Costello were an American comedy duo composed of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, whose work on radio and in film and television made them the most popular comedy team of the 1940s and early 1950s. The show mixed comedy with musical interludes and special guests.

Lou was visiting movie stars' homes. The duo says that tomorrow is New Year's Eve. They say 1949 is only a couple of days off. They talk about what to do on New Year's Eve. Bud flubs the line multiple times. They talk about resolutions and where to spend New Year's Eve. The duo does Sam Shovel. The Murder at the Radio Quiz Show or I've Got a Body in the Balcony Doctor.

Lou has invented a new device that's part hairbrush, part ping-pong paddle for balding men who need exercise. Lou discusses his new girlfriend, and Abbott tries to persuade Lou to stop chasing girls and get married. Abbott tells the story of how he met his wife...when she saved him from drowning.

The program's opening is about Costello paying his income tax (in reality, he would later have problems with the IRS). Lou has purchased a house in the country and he now needs a bathtub. Don't miss the brief appearance by Mr. Kitzel's brother.

Lou is at Los Angeles railroad station coming back from trip at his uncle's farm. Bud and Lou do the "Sew the Seed" routine. Ken Niles says he is glad to be back at the microphone. Bud and Lou look to invest Lou's $75 and decide to invest in war bonds. Lou falls asleep and dreams 10 years later, 1954. He listens to Abbott and Costello on the radio. They do Who's on First as old men.

Bud and Lou go to a dance school. Bud gets a job at the school and tries to get Lou to dance. Lessons are three for a dollar. Then they discuss how last week they formed the Wacky film company. Next Bud and Lou do a bit about Christopher Columbus. Lou is Columbus. Bud mistakenly calls him Lou instead of Columbus.

Abbott and Costello ride into Dead Pan Gulch on the trail of Black Pete, the bank robber. Black Pete turns out to be guest Marlene Dietrich!

Abbott and Costello talk about the Andrew Sisters. Bud is going to help Lou sing. An attorney representing the Andrew Sisters appears on the show. They are suing Abbott and Costello for slander for having the Andrew Brothers on the show three weeks ago. The Andrew Sisters appear. They agree to drop the suit if Lou appears in one of their pictures.

Abbott is putting on a new play called They Just Got Wind of Costello in Alaska or Smellbound. Who's going to be the leading lady?
