Jørn vokser op i 1950’erne i en rigtig arbejderfamilie i Vendsyssel, og her går det vildt for sig. Indimellem må Jørn søge ly under sin mors skørter, når faren lægger an til at kaste ham kærligt – men højt – op i luften, eller når en flok rasende gæs kommer skrappende ind ad køkkendøren!
