Dammen er et mystisk sted. Den ligger inde midt i skoven tæt ved morfars gård, og der er sat pigtrådshegn hele vejen rundt, for engang er der sket noget forfærdeligt på dette fortryllende smukke sted, hvor dunhammerne vokser, åkanderne blomstrer, guldpirolen synger, og uglen skriger sit skæbnesvangre "uhuhuuuu". Dammen drager drengen BiWer, og selvom morfar er en gammel, gnaven eneboer, rykker BiWer ind på gården i sin sommerferie for at løse fortidens hemmeligheder og bekæmpe ondskaben.
