A. R. Shaw is a USA Today bestselling author and former U.S. Air Force Reserve communications radio operator who has been writing the apocalypse since 2013. Her novels blend realistic survival, family, community, and hope—exploring not only how ordinary people endure catastrophe, but what they choose to rebuild afterward.

She is best known for Graham’s Resolution, her long-running post-apocalyptic survival series, and The China Pandemic, written years before a real-world pandemic reshaped daily life. Across dozens of novels, Shaw creates chillingly plausible disasters, memorable characters, and communities forced to decide what is worth saving.

Originally from Texas and now based in the Pacific Northwest, Shaw draws inspiration from history, human resilience, and the rugged landscapes around her. When she is not writing, she enjoys hiking, listening to Ludovico Einaudi, and connecting with her readers.
