Did you know?

From the Account Details page you have several options that let you manage your account, such as changing your email address or password, and choosing the types of marketing emails you'll receive.

If you see one of these charges on your billing statement and are unsure why, here are some possible reasons behind it.
INR 199
You might have received a message about this charge saying you were charged 199/- by Amazon India or Amazon Pay.
If you subscribed to a free trial, membership charges begin following the 30-day free trial period. Audible will charge your default payment method to avoid any disruptions to your service and benefits, including:
  • 1 credit a month good for any audiobook, regardless of price.
  • 30% discounts on additional audiobook purchases.
  • Easy exchanges and more.

INR 2
A INR 2 charge on your billing statement is an authorization hold from your bank on a recently-placed order with Audible. This is only a temporary charge. If you purchased an audiobook, or attempted to enroll in a free trial offer, this INR 2 charge will appear on your billing statement, and should go away quickly.
You can purchase audiobooks using a valid payment method (domestic credit and debit cards, ICICI debit cards, and netbanking) or if you’re a member, using your credits you receive from Audible. Only one audiobook can be purchased at a time. If you’d like to purchase multiple titles, each will need to be a separate transaction.
Note: You cannot purchase audiobooks directly from the Audible app for iOS. If you're using an iOS device, please follow the instructions for purchasing on a mobile device.

Using the Audible app on your device is convenient and easy.
Android
  1. Launch the Play Store on your device, and in the search bar enter “Audible.”
  2. Tap on Audiobooks from Audible from the search results.
  3. Tap Install.
iOS
  1. Launch the App Store on your device and tap Search.
  2. Enter “Audible” in the search bar.
  3. Tap Get next to Audible from the search results followed by Install.
  4. Enter your Apple ID and password. If you do not have one, you will need to create an Apple ID to download the Audible app.
  5. After the app finishes downloading, tap Open to launch.
Audible members who are unhappy with a book can return or exchange it easily as long as it’s within 365 days of the original purchase. Sometimes, you may not see the option to do it online as we would love to take your feedback on the content to improve our catalog. Please reach out to us so that we can help you with the exchange.
To do it online:
1.Go to your Account Details page on the Audible desktop site.
  1. Click Purchase History.
  2. Locate the order that contains the title you'd like to return.
  3. Click Return.
  4. Select the reason for your return, then Return.
  5. After returning your title, you will receive a confirmation on screen indicating the return was successful.

The Audible Cloud Player lets you listen to an audiobook without having to download the title to your Windows PC or Mac. Instead, the Cloud Player streams your content and will save your place across mobile device applications as well. You will need a consistent internet connection to continue playback in the Cloud Player.
To use the Cloud Player:
  1. Click Library.
  2. Click the Play button under the audiobook's cover art.
Playback should begin a few seconds after clicking Play.
Sometimes titles take longer to appear, or maybe your purchase hasn’t been confirmed yet. Some quick fixes can help you locate your book.
Refresh your Library
  1. Tap the Menu (3 vertical dots) icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap Refresh.
  3. Return to your library and check for your book.
Sign out & Sign in
  1. Tap the Menu (3 vertical dots) icon in the upper right corner.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Sign out followed by Ok.
  4. Sign back in and return to your library and check for your book.
Change your Marketplace
  1. Launch the Audible app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner (3 horizontal lines).
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Sign out followed by Ok.
  5. Tap Sign in.
  6. Tap Marketplace at the bottom of the screen to choose the correct marketplace associated with your account.

  4. Tap Sign out twice.
  5. Tap Sign in once.
  6. Tap Marketplace at the bottom of the screen to choose the correct marketplace associated with your account.
  7. Tap Sign In and enter your email address and password.

To download titles on your Android device:
  1. Launch the Audible app.
  2. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi or data connection.
  3. From the "My Library" page, switch to Cloud.
  4. Tap the title you'd like to download.
Once the download is complete, tap on the audiobook to begin listening.
To download titles on your iOS device:
  1. Launch the Audible app.
  2. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi or data connection.
  3. Tap Cloud.
  4. Tap the title you'd like to download.
Once the download is complete, tap on the audiobook to begin listening.
At this time, purchasing directly from an Alexa device is not a supported feature.

You can manage your Android app notifications in the Audible app.
  1. Tap the left navigation menu (3 lines).
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Notification Settings
  4. Tap to place a check mark next to the push notifications you want to receive.
You can manage your iOS app notifications in the Audible app.
  1. Tap More
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Tap Push Notifications
  4. Tap the toggle switch to choose which push notifications you want to receive.
Audible Membership grants you access to a number of exclusive benefits that add value to your listening experience. Pricing and benefits vary by Membership Plan.
Note: You must have an Indian billing address associated to your payment method in order to enroll or shop on Audible.

You can begin your membership with a free 30-day trial! For the first 30 days you will not be billed, but can take advantage of all the benefits our memberships have to offer, including one free audiobook. After 30 days you will automatically be charged INR 199 unless you cancel.
  1. Click here to begin a trial membership.
  2. Choose an existing payment method for your account, or add a new one. You’ll need one so that you can continue your membership uninterrupted, after the free trial ends.
  3. Click Place your order.
  4. You'll be redirected to a different page where you'll enter your one time password.
Note: Only domestic credit cards, and ICIC debit cards are accepted.
If you’re subscribed in the 1 Month Recurring plan, you can cancel your membership online directly from our desktop site. Memberships cannot be canceled from the mobile site or through the app.
Note: Prepaid plans cannot be canceled.
To cancel your membership:
  1. Go to your Account Details page.
  2. From the “View membership details” section, click Cancel membership.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions until you see a confirmation message appear.
  4. After canceling, an automated email will be sent to you as proof of your plan changes.

Audible memberships cannot be placed on hold. For customers enrolled in the 1 Month Recurring plan who no longer wish to pay a monthly fee, we suggest switching to one of our several prepaid plans. The prepaid memberships enable you to choose the exact amount of time you want a membership for: either 1, 6, or 12 months. You’ll pay the total cost upfront, one time.
1 Month Recurring
To ensure uninterrupted service, your Audible membership will automatically renew each month. Your billing date is the same date that you subscribed to your membership plan. If you subscribed on 1 January, then your subsequent billing date would be 1 February and so on. You will continue to be billed each month unless you cancel.
Prepaid
Upon enrollment you will be charged the total cost of membership upfront, one time. Your membership will automatically end after the amount of months chosen, either 1, 6, or 12.

All Audible memberships give you credits to purchase books. Credits that you receive as part of your membership benefits are redeemable towards any Audible purchase and will be applied during checkout.
If you did not receive your Audible credits, your membership charge may not have processed yet. To check the status of a membership charge, visit your Account Details Page
