I'm Alan Breen, a Glasgow-based author with a head full of dark, twisted, and sometimes unexpectedly funny stories.
I only took up writing two years ago, after my mum passed away and I became a full-time carer for my 91-year-old dad. I didn't plan on becoming a writer – but the stories wouldn't leave me alone.
My work explores the shadows of everyday life, where ordinary people find themselves in extraordinary and often unsettling situations.

My writing blends crime, mystery and the supernatural, often with a sharp edge and a twist you won't see coming. Characters like Zara Morgan don't just walk onto the page, they stay with you.
