Alana Conner, PhD, is a cultural scientist who studies, writes about, and consults on culture, psychology, and health. She shares her findings in both academic journals and media outlets such as "The New York Times Magazine," MSNBC's "The Cycle," PRI's "To the Best of Our Knowledge," and the "Stanford Social Innovation Review," where she served as senior editor for five years. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Conner now lives and works at Stanford University, where she is the Executive Director of Stanford SPARQ: Social Psychological Answers to Real-world Questions and Resident Fellow of Arroyo House.
