Alexander Royson Jr. grew up an avid comic and fantasy book fan in the Midwestern United States. He enjoys escaping into rich fantastical worlds of both the past and future. Some of his favorite and most inspirational influences were the epic writings of Robert E. Howard and the amazing art of Frank Frazetta.
He enjoys life more than ever before as he enters the back half of his fifty years, emphasizing the optimization of his family’s spiritual, mental, and physical health.
His current mission is to bring to life with both words and illustrations amazing stories that both bless and haunt his daily life. While creating his books, he becomes obsessed with relaying accurate historical facts and intense visualization of the times and places he writes about. Stark realism is a must - a favorite phrase being; “The truth is often stranger and darker than fiction.”
