Alizah Holstein is the author of My Roman History (Viking Press). She holds an MFA in creative writing & literary translation from Vermont College of Fine Arts’ “International MFA” program, and a PhD in medieval Italian history from Cornell University. Earlier, she graduated with a major in history from Barnard College. Alizah has published essays in Literary Hub, Hamilton Arts & Letters, World Literature Today, SheWrites, MarketWatch, and others. Alizah lives with her family in Providence, RI.
