Author Allen M Werner has lived in Wisconsin all his life. He is married with three daughters and a host of grandchildren. He writes and reads a lot of fantasy fiction as well as mythology and history books. He writes reviews of the books he reads, and these reviews can be seen on his website.
As of August 2026, Allen M Werner has self-published the epic dark fantasy pentalogy: The Crystal Crux Series.

Allen M Werner has also started a continually running series of novellas called the Shades of Myth. These novellas dramatize lesser-known stories and characters in ancient Greek mythology.

In his books, Allen M Werner, amid all the action and story arcs, will focus on the internal struggles of his characters and will often switch POVs to get inside the heads of several characters, rehashing old memories, reviving old wounds and touching morals and virtues, or lack thereof. Faith and their insecurities as well as dreams and ambitions.
Allen M Werner wrote a prize-winning short article called The Grand Transition, which speaks to his experience at the bedside of his dying brother, Michael. The Grand Transition is also available.
