Anna Curran, RN, BSN, PHN, is an emergency room, critical care and critical care transport nurse who has also taught LVN and BSN students as a clinical nurse instructor.
While teaching, Anna noticed the same thing again and again: students memorizing facts without understanding them. She began writing extra study materials for her own students, taking the topics they struggled with and explaining them in plain, simple language, the way an experienced nurse would explain them at the bedside.
That work grew into NurseStudy, the free nursing education resource Anna founded in 2012, with care plans, practice questions and study guides for nursing students preparing for school exams and the NCLEX.
Her books focus on what the nurse actually does: what to check first, what to report and how the NCLEX tests it, with practice questions and a rationale for every answer.
