Audrey Kaihatsu is the founder of KotsuZen, a mindfulness publishing brand rooted in Japanese Zen Buddhist tradition. She writes from a little eleven-acre farmstead in Southern Oregon, where the slow turning of seasons has taught her more about patience than any retreat ever could.
Her work moves between two audiences with the same quiet intention... making ancient Zen practice usable in ordinary, overstuffed days. For adults, she is the author of The Essential Handbook of Daily Zen Hacks and its companion Daily Zen Hacks Guided Journal, both born from her own decades of personal Zen inquiry. For teens, she writes as the voice behind the KotsuZen Teen Series, Kotsu Zen Teen Energy and 108 Koans for Teens: Zen Questions to Awaken Your Mind and Find Your Way, adapting that same lifetime of practice for a generation learning to find stillness inside the noise.
Her books are published under her imprint, KotsuZen, and are available in English, with The Essential Handbook of Daily Zen Hacks also translated into Spanish and French.
