I met the Goddess of my dreams when I was in college.
Looking back on it now, it seemed like fate.
My nickname is B. And all my life I was considered unremarkable.
Expendable.
The type of person who would pass through this world without leaving a trace.
My early life was steeped in darkness—an unending gloom, like a prison—from which I never thought I would escape.
I was overly sensitive. Crippled by social anxiety. Easily broken. This and the fact that I was not aggressive—a wimp, to put it plain—seemed to affect my sociability and happiness early on.
I was morbidly shy throughout my school years, and in high school, tended to be a loner. The shadow without a name. The same applied to college—until my last semester.
Until I met her.
Alexandra.
Light of my life.
Girl of my dreams.
My complete opposite.
Yet my perfect match.
Alexandra was cheerful and outgoing. Poised and resilient.
She was blessed with a heartbreakingly beautiful smile and, beyond that, always exuded coolness.

That was Alexandra.
That was my Goddess.
