Beate Sigriddaughter grew up in Nürnberg, Germany. Her playgrounds were a castle and World War II ruins. She now lives in Silver City, New Mexico (Land of Enchantment) where she was poet laureate from 2017 - 2019. Her work has received several poetry awards. Recent poetry collections are Circus Dancer (Cholla Needles, 2025), Wild Flowers (FutureCycle Press, 2022), and Kaleidoscope (Cholla Needles, 2021). Her latest short story collection is Dona Nobis Pacem (Unsolicited Press, 2021). Her latest novel is Soleil Madera.
