Brett is the designer of unique learning programs from elementary to higher education. His Design Thinking PLCs have created entrepreneurship high schools, hybrid graduate degrees, and specialized teacher workshops. Through his consulting firm, NewSchool Innovation, he works with schools around the country to establish Design Thinking PLCs, design innovative educational experiences, and make learning fun and engaging. Brett was the founding principal at the Patiño School of Entrepreneurship in Fresno, California, a public high school built entirely around entrepreneurship. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of the Pacific, where he designed the Education Entrepreneurship Master’s and Doctoral concentrations. Brett is also the CEO of NewSchool Innovation Consulting, a firm that facilitates the implementation of innovative and entrepreneurial frameworks for educational and organizations. Brett holds an Ed.D. degree in Educational Administration from the University of the Pacific, and M.B.A. from Babson College, a M.A. in Education from U.C. Davis, and a B.A. in English from Brigham Young University. He lives in Folsom, California with his wife and four children.
