Brian Young is a novelist who believes the best stories live in the spaces between what we know and what we imagine.
Brian grew up in Utah hiking, camping, and searching the High Uintas—the same mountains
that provide the dramatic backdrop for The Sacred Vein. Those formative years exploring wilderness
trails and hearing legends of lost Spanish gold planted the seeds the Sacred Vein Seriesa historical adventure saga that blends treasure hunting, indigenous rights, and the wild landscapes of the American West. His writing is driven by a fascination with hidden worlds—the histories buried beneath our feet, the mysteries we pass by without noticing, and the extraordinary people who dedicate their lives to uncovering the truth.
He spent eight years in Seattle, where he developed a deep love of hiking the trails of the Pacific Northwest. Those years wandering through ancient forests. The misty woods, the sense that something ancient might be watching from just beyond the tree line, the way the wilderness holds secrets it isn't ready to share—all of it found its way onto the page.
When he's not writing, Brian can be found tending to his collection of funko pops, watching the Chicago Sky in the WNBA, and working on home improvement projects that always seem to take longer than planned. He currently lives in Chicago with a deep appreciation for a good story, a well-crafted sentence, and the possibility that there's more to the world than meets the eye.
