Brienne C. grew up in rural Oklahoma, homeschooled within the strict fundamentalist IBLP sect, featured in Shiny Happy People. As a non-binary, pansexual individual with OCD, Brienne’s life has been one of resilience, self-discovery, and transformation.
For 15 years, Brienne served in Christian ministry roles, later converting to Roman Catholicism in 2017 before stepping away from traditional faith in 2019 to explore atheism. Today, Brienne is a cybersecurity architect, a devoted parent of seven, and an active member of a multifaith, LGBTQ+ affirming church in Colorado Springs.
Brienne holds a BA in Social Science and History, an MDiv, and is pursuing an MBA.
