Born in the noise of São Paulo, Bruno Beloti now writes in the quiet of the mountains.
He was born in 1980 and has spent his life translating the world into stories. A civil servant by profession and a writer by inevitability, he divides his days between government paperwork and imaginary universes.
The Gliese Saga began with a scar. In 2013, in the middle of a personal crisis, he saw a sky lit by three suns, vividly and unmistakably, and wrote the first draft soon after as a way to survive it. Years later, during the pandemic, he realized the story was far too large for one book. It became a five-volume saga about two teenage boys, twenty-three light-years apart, connected by something neither of them can explain.
Charlie Gliese and Planet Earth is the first of those five books and the first of his novels to appear in English.
In Brazil, he also writes for adults and younger readers, while his short fiction has earned literary awards in both Brazil and Portugal. His honors include first-place prizes from the Prêmio Nacional Poiesis de Literatura, the Prêmio Literário Outono em Vários Tons, and the Prêmio Um Frame de Literatura in Brazil, as well as the Prémio Literário LUZIA in Portugal. His work is shaped by a neurodivergent lens, and in every book he writes, neurodivergence is never simply a diagnosis. It is voice, perception, and a way of being in the world.
He lives in Serra Negra, Brazil, where he continues to expand the Gliese universe while writing stories about belonging, choice, freedom, and the unexpected ways people try to find their place in the world.
