Born in the noise of São Paulo, Bruno Beloti now writes in the quiet of the mountains.
He was born in 1980 and has spent his life translating the world into stories. A civil servant by profession and a writer by inevitability, he divides his days between government paperwork and imaginary universes.
The Gliese Saga began with a scar. In 2013, in the middle of a personal crisis, he saw a sky lit by three suns, vividly and unmistakably, and wrote the first draft soon after as a way to survive it. Years later, during the pandemic, he realized the story was far too large for one book. It became a five-volume saga about two teenage boys, twenty-three light-years apart, connected by something neither of them can explain.
Charlie Gliese and Planet Earth is the first of those five books, and the first of his novels to appear in English.
In Brazil he also writes for adults and for younger readers, and his short fiction has won awards in Brazil and Portugal, including first place in the Prêmio Nacional Poiesis de Literatura. His work is shaped by a neurodivergent lens, and in every book he writes, neurodivergence is never a diagnosis. It is voice, it is perception, it is a way of being in the world.
He lives in Serra Negra, Brazil, where he is at work on the next volumes of the saga and keeps circling the same three questions: where we belong, what we choose, and what it costs to be free.
