Dr. Carla Waterman is a professor, writer and mentor whose work reflects upon the intersection of historical Christian worship and spiritual formation enfleshed in every day life. Previously on the faculty of Wheaton College, Carla now holds permanent teaching affiliations at Northern Seminary in Lombard, IL and the Robert E. Webber Institute of Worship Studies in Jacksonville, FL.
Songs of Assent is Waterman's first book; she writes an ongoing blog that continues to explore the book's themes (carlawaterman.blogspot.com). Dr. Waterman is also the President of In the Kingdom Ministries, Inc., a mentoring and retreat not-for-profit ministry active in the United States and abroad.
Carla lives with her husband and son in the western suburbs of Chicago.
