Cathie English is Professor of English and an English/language arts teacher educator who formerly taught high school English for twenty-one years in rural Nebraska. Her academic work has been published in Language, Literature, and Interdisciplinary Studies, English Journal, The Rural Educator, The Journal of Literacy Innovation, Elder Mountain: A Journal of Ozarks Studies, Pilaf, Pozole, and Pad Thai: American Women and Ethnic Food, and Writing Suburban Citizenship: Place-Conscious Education and the Conundrum of Suburbia. Her non-fiction has appeared in The Awkward Phase: The Uplifting Tales of Those Weird Kids You Went to School With. Her poetry has appeared in OzarksWatch magazine.
