Hi, I am Charles Vaught, wildland firefighter and author of State of Fire, a nonfiction book about my experiences as a wildland firefighter.
I enjoy writing fiction, but my true passion is nonfiction, especially creative nonfiction as it allows me to use the tools of fiction to craft personal essays that are both relatable and exciting to read.
I am currently guts deep into the writing of my next book titled: Tourist, Traveler, Nomad, Expat. This book is about my travels and life lived abroad.
