Cheryl Kolaczynski is the author of the "Scripture in Context" series, which includes this book plus "The Testimony Concerning Me: Foretold and Fulfilled" and "Walking Through Scriptures: One Day at a time" a 365-Day Devotional. These books are all a collection of Bible studies, devotionals, and biblical biographies designed to help readers understand Scripture within its historical, cultural, and biblical context. Her writing emphasizes careful exposition of God's Word while consistently pointing readers to Jesus Christ as the central focus and fulfillment of all Scripture.
For more than fifty years, Cheryl has walked with the Lord through the joys, struggles, victories, and challenges of everyday Christian life. She has been blessed with over five decades of marriage, four children, and twenty-five years teaching computer technology at Central Christian Academy. Throughout her life, God has continually opened doors for her to teach His Word, encourage believers, and help others grow in their understanding of Scripture.
In addition to verse-by-verse Bible studies, Cheryl's "Master's Men" series explores the lives of three of Christ's apostles, Peter, James and John, tracing how Jesus called ordinary men, patiently shaped their character, and equipped them for faithful ministry. Across all of her writing, her desire is to help readers deepen their knowledge of God's Word, grow in spiritual maturity, and follow Christ with greater faithfulness.
Many of Cheryl's studies began with questions that arose from hearing familiar Bible verses quoted apart from their original context. As she searched the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit continually led her to examine each passage more carefully, discovering the richness and clarity that come from understanding God's Word as He intended. Her passion is to help readers see the unity of Scripture—from Genesis to Revelation—and to recognize that the Old Testament remains essential for understanding God's character, His promises, and His redemptive plan fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Cheryl and her husband reside in Pennsylvania, where they are active in the life and ministry of their local church. Her prayer is that every reader will gain a greater appreciation for the authority and sufficiency of God's Word, a deeper understanding of its unified message, and a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
