Chris Lester (she/her or they/them) has been telling stories for about as long as they can remember, and credits a writing contest in elementary school for introducing them to their muse. Trained as a biologist at the University of California-Santa Cruz, she received her master's degree in 2004 and is now working as a microbiologist in Madison, Wisconsin.
When she isn't writing or doing research, Chris enjoys playing piano, pen-and-paper role-playing games, and being out in nature. They live in Madison with their wife Melanie and an assortment of cats and dogs.
