Chris Lester (she/her) has been telling stories for about as long as she can remember, and credits a writing contest in elementary school for introducing her to her muse. Trained as a biologist at the University of California-Santa Cruz, she received her master's degree in 2004 and is now working as a microbiologist in Madison, Wisconsin.
When she isn't writing or doing research, Chris enjoys playing piano, pen-and-paper role-playing games, and being out in nature. She lives in Madison with a dog, two cats, and an ever-growing pile of books.
