As a passionate advocate for authentic queer storytelling, Baker frequently speaks on the importance of diversity in media. Her journey of finding her soulmate, Stacey Powell, later in life inspired her co-authored journal, Get Off the Dating Apps and Journal to Find Your SoulMate. Christin remains a leading voice in advancing LGBTQ+ representation in media.
