Cindy Grantham Brown has been telling stories since childhood—although her earliest attempts at becoming an author were a little unconventional.

Growing up in and around Memphis, Tennessee, Cindy discovered her imagination in 3rd grade when book reports became a regular assignment. Reading wasn’t exactly her favorite pastime back then, so after reading the summaries of books, she created stories of her own. She laughs today remembering how, at the age of eight, she thought choosing a book by “Author Unknown” might keep her teacher from discovering that her version didn’t match the original. Her childhood shortcut eventually caught up with her in tenth grade. It was a good run for all those years in between, but something far more lasting came from those early years: Cindy discovered that she loved creating stories. She also credits her grandpa for her love of storytelling. As a little girl, she loved sitting and listening to the stories he told, never realizing then how much those moments would stay with her.

Years later, that childhood imagination developed into a passion for writing. Cindy Grantham Brown is the author of several published books, including works inspired by true stories. Her writing has explored real lives, difficult circumstances, faith, hope, and the ways ordinary people can persevere through extraordinary situations.

Cindy has now entered a new chapter in her writing career with The King’s Table Series, a clean Christian romance series centered on faith, family, love, redemption, and relationships that honor God. The first novel, The King’s Table — Emma Grace, introduces readers to Emma Grace Harper and Marcus Jacobs and the people whose lives become intertwined around The King’s Table. The series continues with Sammy, followed by Benjamin.

Whether writing from true events or creating fictional characters, Cindy’s desire is to tell stories with heart—stories that entertain while leaving readers with something meaningful to carry with them after the final page.

Cindy attended Southaven High School in Southaven, Mississippi, and now makes her home in Arkansas with her husband. Together they have six children plus one exchange student son and a growing family of grands & greats. Cindy and her husband are active in their church, and her Christian faith remains at the center of her life and an important influence on her writing.

From the little girl who once tried to outsmart book reports by inventing her own stories to the published author she is today, one thing has remained constant: Cindy Grantham Brown has always had a story to tell.
