Colin Daumen writes at the crossroads of language, myth, and disciplined craft. A native German and English speaker currently teaching in China, he moves between four languages (Chinese, German, English, and Thai) the same way his characters move between worlds: fluently, deliberately, and with an ear for hidden meaning. With a BSc in Psychology from the University of York, Colin brings a sharp understanding of motivation, identity, and moral decay to every page, crafting epic fantasy that mimics deeper human dynamics. A lifelong devotee of video games and tabletop role-playing adventures like Dungeons & Dragons, he constructs immersive magic systems, tactical conflicts, and character-driven progression arcs rooted in strategy as much as spectacle. When he’s not writing, he coaches volleyball and basketball, an influence reflected in the teamwork and sacrifice that define his stories.
