D. Marie Grainkeeper is the great grandchild of immigrants. Her family, grade school and high school teachers prepared her to receive her bachelor’s degree, Major – English, MinorArt, and Wisconsin Teaching Certificate for Grades 1 – 5 from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee, WI. Following her Master’s and Ph. D. in Science from the Dept. of Ed Psych, UW, Madison, she taught at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA retiring as a Professor Emerita.
