D. Virgil Riley is a multi-talented author, narrator, and performing artist whose work spans fiction, non-fiction, music, and theatre. Holding a Master of Music degree, he has enjoyed a vibrant career as a singer, actor, and director in theatre, opera, and musical theatre across Canada. He has also performed extensively throughout North America alongside his wife, singer and harpist Analynn Riley. With more than 100 film, television, and commercial appearances—and numerous recording credits—Riley brings a rich artistic perspective to his storytelling. In addition to writing, he continues to coach singers and actors, sharing his depth of experience with the next generation of performers. He is a proud member of ACTRA, SOCAN, and Canadian Actor’s Equity.
