Daniel Thorman grew up in Milford, Ohio, the second-youngest of seven children and a lifelong fan of fantasy and science fiction. After earning degrees in computer science and mathematics, he spent decades in a demanding IT career that left little time for creativity. He assumed he was hopelessly left-brain dominant.
Retirement changed everything. With time to read, garden, practice tai chi, volunteer, and explore new hobbies, Daniel finally discovered what his right brain had been quietly learning all along: pacing, humor, character, and story.
His inner editor refused to stay quiet during his reading hours. He kept thinking, I could do better. Eventually, he decided to try. Five months later, his debut novel, Mayhem at the Mill, hit the page.
Daniel now writes warm, humorous fantasy adventures filled with good-hearted characters and the joy of discovery. He lives in Cincinnati with his amazing wife, Luanne, and has grown confident enough that he wont let a friendly AI touch his prose, only make suggestions and help with his author bio.
