David Adams is a Scottish horror author from Glasgow and winner of the 2025 Reader Views Literary Awards Horror Gold Award.
His love of horror started earlier than it probably should have, when his dad introduced him to films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Aliens, IT, The Twilight Zone and Predator. Watching horror soon turned into looking for it.
Growing up in Glasgow, David told ghost stories, explored supposedly haunted places and once ventured into the fire-damaged remains of a school because its library was rumoured to be haunted.
His fiction includes the award-winning medieval horror The Silence – Broken Aegis and The Night Feed, a psychological supernatural horror set during the night shift of a medical supply warehouse on the Clyde.
He never really stopped looking.
