David R. Moreno A. is an organizational psychologist (UCE) and holds a Master’s in Human Talent Management (Universidad Isabel I, 2024), with more than a decade driving corporate learning, culture, and HR technology. Founder–CEO of Matchworking, an HRTech platform with AI, and cofounder/CPO of Chimilocos, he has led talent strategy, OKRs, and sustainability. Previously he served as Corporate Learning Specialist at PRONACA, consolidating large-scale virtual training via LMS and automation processes.
His perspective is rooted in practice: he has designed learning experiences for mass audiences—including platforms that reached more than 14,000 people—and is fluent in agile methodologies, train-the-trainer programs, and instructional design.
But the voice of this book was tempered at a crossroads. On migrating to the United States, David chose to begin again with humility: to take jobs outside his comfort zone, rebuild networks from scratch, and prioritize his family’s well-being. That process—made of contrasts, lessons, and silences—connected with the intimate story that has accompanied him since childhood: that of his grandmother, Aurelia de Jesús. In her memory he found a moral anchor and a map to remember who he is while transforming; in the migrant experience he found the living matter to re-mean that legacy.
The result is an author who writes with two compasses: the human, which honors Aurelia de Jesús and the roots that sustain; and the professional, which translates data, processes, and technology into everyday habits and decisions. This work unites both: at once homage and tool; origin story and practical handbook for beginning—again—with purpose.
