After graduating from Columbia Law School, David practiced law on Wall Street, was Counsel to two SEC Commissioners, served as the General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer of NYSE companies, and was the CEO of one of the largest U.S. broker-dealers. Turning to public service, David was the CEO of the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System, the Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans in Studio City, the San Diego County Employees Retirement Association, and the Texas Municipal Retirement System in Austin, where he managed more than 100 billion dollars for more than 400,000 Members. David is a popular speaker and has chaired numerous nonprofit boards.
