Desreanna Barnett is a teacher who has over 10 years of experience teaching various subjects to high school, middle school, and elementary school students. She has also had the privilege to teach Indigenous youth for a non-profit organization in northern Quebec. Her specialization is in English literature and creative writing and she has also had the pleasure of having her poetry published in the past. She has a particular passion for nurturing children’s growth and creativity through the avenue of storytelling and she hopes to continue to do that through Today Is A Rainy Day. It is her ambition that the book will not only be able to help children who see themselves in Isaiah but also families like Isaiah’s as well.
