Born the oldest of nine children, Don J. O’Donnell graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1973 and served eight years in the Army as an officer. After service, he obtained an MBA and worked in the utility industry before becoming a management consultant--traveling to client sites throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Europe. He loved the work and the impact he had upon clients, but not the time spent in airport concourses. He is recently retired and now lives in Florida with his wife where he finds time to fish, play many sports, and read. Although STRANDED is his first novel to be published, he has been writing since the nineties, mostly during travel layovers.
